Wealthy Elementary PTO
About Us
The Wealthy Elementary Parent and Teacher Organization (PTO) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit group run by parent volunteers whose purpose is to support the education of children at Wealthy Elementary by fostering relationships among the school, parents, and teachers. We fund events, provide supplies, organize volunteers, and much more.
Join
There are many ways to offer your support of our students. We encourage every parent and guardian to show support by joining the PTO. Annual membership dues help us to fund important programs and events for our students.
Attend
We have General Membership Meetings throughout the year and encourage parents to attend or watch live on our Facebook page. Each PTO meeting includes a Wealthy Elementary update from Mrs. Allen, a PTO update, representatives from District Office Administration and the EGRPS Board of Education as well as frequent guest speakers. Meetings are held in the Learning Commons on the second floor. Complimentary childcare and refreshments are provided.

Wizard Walk
Each May, the Wealthy Elementary School PTO holds its one and only fundraiser, the Wizard Walk. Students in all grades come together to walk over a mile through Gaslight Village to raise funds for the Wealthy School PTO and its programs for the next school year.
The incredible success of each year’s event enables the PTO to sponsor many programs, in whole or in part, including the First Grade Traveling Zoo, author and poet visits, Family Movie Night, Field Day, the annual musical production, Family Fun Night, 4th Grade Mackinac Island history trip, student planners, Mystic Lake science camp, swimming for grades 1-3, and TEAM celebrations. Without the generous support of our parents and corporate sponsors, we simply would not be able to offer these programs to our children. All proceeds will go to Wealthy Elementary School and 100% of donations are tax deductible.
To meet our goal, each student is encouraged to gather sponsorships from parents, relatives, and friends totaling at least $50. We realize that some will raise less and some will raise more, and we ask you to sponsor at whatever level you are able. Every child, regardless of amount raised, will participate in the walk. Thank you for your continued support!
